MEET THE ARTIST

Culture. Connection. Storytelling.

Behind the TidzBiz logo is a story of women’s business, cultural knowledge and the generations of women who came before us.

Created by First Nations artist Casey Coolwell-Fisher, the artwork honours the past while encouraging younger generations to embrace their identity, celebrate their bodies and feel confident in who they are.

THE STORY BEHIND THE ARTWORK

Honouring the Women Who Came Before Us

The TidzBiz logo was inspired by the knowledge, care and strength passed down through generations of women.

In developing the artwork, Casey reflected on the ways ancestral mothers, grandmothers and aunties approached women’s business, supported one another and drew on the resources available in their environments.

Her inspiration also came from thinking about younger generations and how cultural knowledge can help them develop confidence, understand their bodies and embrace women’s business without shame.

In the Artist’s Words

“The inspiration behind the TidzBiz logo came from reflecting on how our Ancestral Mums, Nans and Aunties managed women’s business, cared for one another and worked with the environments around them. I began thinking about the knowledge, practices and resources our women relied on, and how these connections can continue to guide us today.

I also found myself asking, how would I explain this to my younger self? I would want her to understand that caring for herself is nothing to be ashamed of, that women’s business is something to embrace, and that there is strength in knowing where we come from.

Through this artwork, I honour the women who came before us while encouraging younger generations to feel connected to their culture, proud of their bodies and empowered by the stories that shape us.”

A Story That Connects Generations

The TidzBiz logo is more than a visual identity. It represents the connection between cultural knowledge, women’s business and the next generation.

Its story reflects the importance of creating conversations around periods that are grounded in care, understanding and confidence.

At TidzBiz, we’re working to make period care more accessible while supporting young people with the products, knowledge and resources they need.

Casey’s artwork brings a meaningful cultural story to that purpose, reminding us of the importance of honouring the women who came before us while supporting those who come next.

Honouring the past. Supporting the present. Empowering the future.

“Through this artwork, I honour the women who came before us while encouraging younger generations to feel connected to their culture, proud of their bodies and empowered by the stories that shape us.”
